The second ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka has been rescheduled to have better playing conditions after heavy rain at Karachi. The match will be played on 30th September 2019, Sunday instead of 29th September 2019. After the abandon of first ODI on 27th September 2019, due to heavy rain Pakistan Cricket Board and Sri Lankan Cricket Board mutually decided to reschedule the next ODI.

It is the first occasion for National Stadium Karachi to host a One Day cricket series after the 2009 terrorist attack on Sri Lankan cricket team. The West Indian tour of Karachi in 2018 for a T20 series followed by final of PSL 2018 and 2019 were successful shows. They not only helped to rebuild and represent a better image of Pakistan but also attracted foreign cricketers for its hospitality in nature.

According to PCB the tickets of the first ODI can be used in the second and third ODI matches at National Stadium Karachi. The people who have bought the tickets and will not be able to witness the live action for any reason will be refunded after the series is over.
