The ICC cricket world cup 2019 campaign finally ends for Pakistan. Lots of positive things in the end to take. Many milestones achieved and some disappointment as well.

Let us take a moment and say goodbye to an Asian Tiger "Shoaib Malik", who has one of the longest careers in the cricket history. Malik did his debut back in 1999 against West Indies. He has seen many ups and down in his 20 years of cricket. We saw him captaining the Pakistani side for a couple of years. He played 2007 World Cup and then dropped for the next two. He came back strongly in the ODI side after 2015 cricket world cup and was the best performer since then. He was at his best in Asia cup 2018 as well. His average in England was 13 in 64 matches and unfortunately the last cricket world cup of his career held in England. He had a golden chance to prove himself wrong but he just couldn't. Malik scored his last ODI hundred and a golden duck against India. His career-best of 143 was also against India.

Another positive thing to look at is Babar Azam's batting. He scored 474 runs in 8 World Cup innings and surpass the 27 years old record of great Javaid Miandad who scored 437 in 10 innings in 1992. Muhammad Aamer who was struggling to pick wicket made a strong comeback and picked 17 wickets in ICC cricket world cup 2019. Lots of positive things and lessons for Pakistan to take from cricket world cup 2019.
