A moment of sadness for cricket fans across the globe as the "UNIVERSAL BOSS" Christopher Henry Gayle appeared in his last World Cup match against Afghanistan. The king of T20 cricket is of 39 and will be of 40 this September. He wanted to have some entertainment in his last World Cup appearance but the luck was not on his side. He scored 7 off 18 and struck one four. The saddest part of the story is that Chris Gayle required 18 runs to break the Brian Lara's ODI runs record for West Indies but he just couldn't. Well, what a moment for Chris Gayle he did all the hard work and played for 20 years and just fall 8 runs short. Gayle finished on 10,393 runs while Lara has scored 10,405 International runs.

The man of sixes did his ODI debut against India in 1999 at Toronto. The six feet man is still fit enough to play T20 leagues around the globe. Age is just a number for him as he is an inspiration for many young cricketers. His record 100 off just 30 balls in IPL was an iconic knock that he had played in his T20 career. We want some more from him in the next T20 season.

Before the start of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Chris Gayle called it a day and now we have to wait for his final decision though, we will be seeing him in the T20 format. He said that in his twenty years career he had done enough for the youngsters and now it is their turn to give him a present by winning World Cup, unfortunately, they couldn't.

Fortunately, Windies won their last World Cup match against Afghanistan by 23 runs. World of cricket will always miss the presence of "UNIVERSAL BOSS". Champion for a reason.
