Nothing went good for Australia except for the toss. David Warner started the match with a beautiful drive through covers but, nothing last longer. After losing three early wickets in the powerplay Smith and Carey rebuild the innings with a slow pace to help Australia back in the game. Some brilliant performance by the pacers was followed by the spinner. Adil Rashid in the later part of the innings picked three crucial wickets and put Kangaroos on the backfoot. Australia was all out for 223 in 49 overs. Steve Smith scored useful 85 runs off 119 balls.

England had a superb start to their innings as they were in a hurry to reach final after 1992 cricket world cup. Jason Roy scored 85 off 69 balls and was controversially given out. There was no edge spotted in the ultra edge check. The ICC cricket umpiring standard was just okay as we have seen some great decisions as well. In the end, it was a comfortable victory for the English cricket team as they won the 2nd semi-final of ICC cricket world cup 2019 by 8 wickets.

On Sunday in Lords, we will have a grand finale between England and New Zealand and they both are yet to won ICC cricket world cup title.
