Finally, a victory for Pakistan as they defeated the host cricket team at Nottingham by 14 runs. After the Champion Trophy, this is the second occasion when Pakistan has defeated England in English conditions. One of the old sayings is "Better late than never", and that's what we have witnessed today. From the lowest total in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 to the Highest total in just two matches, the unpredictable nature of Pakistan Cricket. They can defeat any team on their day.

English captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat. The 82 runs opening stand between Fakhar Zaman and Imam ul Haq gave confidence to the batsman. Muhammad Hafeez brilliant innings of 82 off 62 balls followed by 63 runs by Babar Azam helped Pakistan to score some runs. The skipper Sarfraz Ahmad also contributed useful 55 runs in the teams total. Pakistan ended up on 348 for 8 in 50 overs.

It was expected to be the highest chase in ICC Cricket World Cup history. The early dismissal of Jason Roy put the English team on the backfoot. The fifth-wicket partnership between Joe Root and Jos Buttler rebuild the momentum. Root was dropped by Babar Azam at first slip off the Aamer's ball. Both Root and Buttler scored a hundred but couldn't finish the game. They stable the innings, build the momentum and at the time of finishing the job both got out in relatively quick succession. The last five overs from Hassan Ali, Wahab Riaz, and Aamer were brilliant. They kept on taking the wickets and kept England on the backfoot. 

A useful victory for Pakistan after 12 ODIs, and helped to gain the winning momentum. With the defeat of England, the ICC Cricket World 2019 has gone more interesting.
