A better day in ICC cricket warm-up matches as West Indies scored over 400 runs, and Indian old gun Ms. Dhoni scored his first overseas ODI hundred.   The two warm-ups were played between Newzealand and West Indies, and between India and Bangladesh at Bristol County Cricket Ground and Sophia Cricket Gardens respectively.

A super start to the tournament by Carrebian side as they outclassed Kiwis pace attack with ease. Shai Hope the wicketkeeper-batsman scored a brilliant century, and a fiery knock by Andre Russel allowed Windies to score 421 in 29.2 overs only. In reply, Kiwis did try to fight but couldn't do so. Kane Williamson made 85 off 64 balls while Tom Blundell contributed 106 off 89 balls. Newzeland innings ended on 330 in 47.2 overs.

In the 10th warm-up India defeated Bangladesh by 95 runs. It is the second occasion where the Indian top order collapsed. Skipper Virat Kohli scored 47 and helped Indian cricket to rebuild the innings. Ms. Dhoni and KL Rahul scored beautiful hundreds and put Bangladesh on the backfoot. First overseas hundred for Ms. Dhoni comes in an unofficial match. From Bangladesh, Mushfiqur Rahim scored 94, and Liton Das scored 73. No one else was good enough to build the partnership.

After looking at the performances of warm-up, it is hard to predict the top four or finalist. Every team has shown some guts and courage except for the Srilanka, who was unable to win a match out of two. One thing is clear that rain will play a big part in ICC Cricket World Cup official matches.
