Australian allrounder Shane Watson has called a day from Big Bash Cricket League. With his decision, his Australian cricket career has come to an end. 

He retired from International cricket in 2016. He had played for Sydney Sixers & Brisbane Heat before he, was playing for Sydney Thunders for the last three seasons. He ended up his career as the leading runs scorer for Thunders.

Watson has decided to continue playing the overseas T20 leagues this year. He is enjoying his role in the IPL as an opener. He played an innings of 96 recently in IPL. He was also the key player for Quetta Gladiators and, helped in winning their first PSL trophy.  He also aims to play Caribbean Premier League this season.

The Sydney Thunders who lost in the semi-final this season, will look for a new captain and will announce soon. 

Shane Watson, one of the best allrounder Australian cricket had produced. His services to cricket are exceptional. T20 cricket is need of allrounders like him.
