Virat Kohli has now become the fastest to score 9000 international cricket runs as a captain surpassing former Australian captain Rickey Ponting's record. Kohli reached the milestone in the second ODI against Australia in Nagpur where he also scored his 40th ODI ton that helped India to put a decent total. He only took 159 captain’s knock to reach the 9000 cricket runs mark whereas Rickey Ponting had taken 203 innings to complete the milestone. Kohli is also heading towards 11000 ODI runs and he is very likely to complete them during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Virat Kohli is now the sixth player in international cricket to reach 9000 as skipper. Before Kohli,  who have completed this milestone were
  • Graeme Smith (220)
  • Ms. Dhoni in (253)
  • Rickey Ponting in (203)
  • Allan Border in (257)
  • Stephen Fleming in (272)

Super captaincy from Virat Kohli and top class depth bowling from Jasprit Bumrah helped Indian cricket to complete 500 ODI victory. They snatch the victory from Australian in a crunch match. With every such performance, they are getting more favorable for World Cup 2019.
